Peter Dickinson RIBA, ARB - Chartered Architect, Principal

Qualifications: Dipl. Arch.

Attended Oxford School of Architecture from 1964 to 1969.

Qualified as an architect in 1971.

Worked for Shankland Cox in Liverpool for five years followed by two years at Robert Matthew Johnson & Partners in Preston.

Commenced in practice on his own account in 1978.

Kathy Dickinson - Practice Manager

Qualifications: BSc Hons Applied Mathematics

Kathy's working life started in the family flower business. She went on to study and later teach mathematics at Manchester Poytechnic and then Wigan College.

Kathy's husband, Peter, founded the practice over thirty years ago. During this time her involvement with the practice progressed to the point where she left teaching in 2000 to work solely in the practice.

Dave Winstanley - Senior Architectural Technologist

Qualifications: HNC Buidling Studies

Dave completed his HNC in Building Studies in 1990 after studying at Wigan College.

He joined Peter Dickinson Architects in March 1995 after working for a practice in Manchester for five years.

His role involves liaising with the Principal Architect and Clients to produce and develop drawings for Client approval, planning applications, building regulation applications and construction. Dave also liaises with the Client and contractor during the contract period and runs the day-to-day requirements of the drawing office.

Dave hopes to continue working here for the next fifteen years.

Neil Sharp - Architectural Technician

Qualifications: BSc Hons Architectural Technology

Having obtained his degree Neil worked for four years with Wigan Council and NPS North West.

Neil was involved with both new-build and refurbishment schemes for educational, leisure, housing and policy buildings.

In February 2006 he joined Peter Dickinson Architects and now produces planning and building control drawings for local authority approval.

 

Jill Dagnall - Secretary

Qualifications:

After leaving school having gained a full complement of GCSE's Jill continued her higher education at Southport College studying an Intensive Secretarial Course. 

After completing her education Jill joined Christopher Rodgers as part of their Surveying team where she honed her administrative abilities in a fast paced pressured environment.

Deciding to embrace a new challenge Jill joined Peter Dickinson Architects in February 2009 and quickly established herself as an integral member of our team.
